Bitten Bakery
Bitten Bakery is a small pastry business that currently specializes in thick cookies full of different mix-ins and often stuffed with some type of filling, and sweet and savory pastries of all kinds. After months of showcasing her thick stuffed cookies on Instagram, Sam, owner of Bitten Bakery, decided to start offering her treats to those in the Triangle area. After a very successful fundraiser in June 2020 for the Exoneration Initiative, she decided to launch her business in August of 2020. Sam has always had a passion for baking but was surprised and honored that so many others enjoyed her cookies as much as friends and family. Sam's baking knowledge comes from over 20 years of baking cakes, cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, and whatever other sweet things she saw after watching hours upon hours of the Food Network.
Armed with the blue KitchenAid mixer she received on her 10th birthday, Sam started a mission in 2019 to re-create the big, chunky cookies she started seeing all over Instagram. After a year of recipe development, she finally had her cookie recipe. Since moving to Little Blue Bakehouse, Sam has expanded her offering to include cinnamon rolls, savory rolls, biscuits, brownies, and a number of other amazing pastries!
